One of the three pilot areas of the TICAD project is the catchment basin of the River Hernád. The general objective of this pilot is to contribute to the establishment of a balanced territorial development and water management policy and flood prevention system. The title of the pilot strategy is "Integrated revitalisation of the Hernad River Valley".

 

In order to improve the results of the transnational strategy of all the five countries involved in the TICAD project, the results of the strategic development directions of the three pilot projects proposed for the Tisa River are recommended to be introduced.

 

One of the three pilot projects of TICAD is called “Environmental network on the bank of Tisa River”. The public meeting with the Serbian stakeholders was held on 16th of August 2011 in the premises of JVP “Vode Vojvodine”. The meeting aimed at presenting the results, dysfunctions and conflicts identified in the target area as a result of the 1st phase of the pilot project.

 

One of the pilot projects of the TICAD project is the Someş Catchment Area, aiming at improving the results of the transnational strategy of all the five countries involved by preparing strategic development directions in risk management, industrial and urban pollution and economic development, as well.

 

The information Seminar was held on 29.02.2012 at the Slovak Environmental Agency – Centre of Natural and Energy Resources Planning, Sabinovská 3, Prešov, Slovakia. 105 participants were present at the event.
